Designed for the professional sea kayak guide the Ocean Pro is designed to carry all the essentials. It has two large front pockets with organisers for sunnies, food, sunscreen, phone, whistle, knife kitchen sink. We also added a removable VHF holster for hands free operation of your radio.
On the back of the Ocean Pro is an integrated hydration system with a 1.5l water bladder installed, the bladder pocket has a strobe light attachment point on the flap and a mesh pocket at the base to stash your long towline.
The Ocean Pro comes with a 4m quick release towline which packs away into it’s own storage pouch. A central zip and multiple side adjustment points make this jacket an easy fit. Reflective detailing offers high visibility after dark.
This versatile jacket is designed to fit the needs of the intermediate paddler who wants to be "rescue capable". It has a removable 38mm quick release towline and spacious pocket for storing other safety essentials. The one-size-fits-most sizing and contoured foam provide a secure and comfortable fit over a wide range of body shapes. The Leader is bartacked at all stress points and made from burly 500D Cordura.
Even though we have made this PFD 20% lighter, we have retained all the features that make this PFD the choice of Nike and Balance Bar/Vector AR teams, and 2005 C2C champs Richard Usher and Kristina Anglem.
The drink system holds a 2.5litre bladder and keeps the tube at the tip of your exhausted tongue. It is easy to get on (over your head) and fast to get off (side zip) and in between you will hardly notice you are wearing it. The bottle pocket on the front has a second tube guide so you can dine in style, electrolyte, fluid, electrolyte, fluid... ad infinitum. The "system X" adjustment system prevents the weight of the drink bladder from pulling the PFD backwards and choking you in the process... nice.
It comes equipped with a whistle and a handy dandy knife pocket with a lash tab ( mandatory gear on most races) as well as a strobe light clip point on the back. The piping is reflective and the mesh front pockets hold food, and plenty of it.
